Another surplus key,built in Ukraine for the Red Army.

The distinguishing feature of this key are the dimensions,only 3 x 4 cm.

It can be fitted on a metal plate,that can be held on the thigh with a strap,for portable operations.

I've used a small wooden block as a support for the key and the metal plate.

The plate is kept in position on the block by means of two screws.

The front screw,together with some washers,has a double purpose:it' used to keep the metal plate in position on the wooden support,and prevents the key from sliding from the seat.
