Another Turner microphone desperate for love.......

It was missing the original cartridge,as well as many electronic components.

Due to the lack of parts,it would have been difficult to restore it to the initial conditions,that's why I've decided to replace the original circuit with another one,designed specifically for the ICOM 706MKIIg.

 

The microphone shell,stripped from the old paint,note the filler,used to seal the two opening,no longer needed

 

 

The opening in the head of the mic has been enlarged,in order to have more room for the 3 wires of the new preamplifier

Details of the copper sheets,glued with bi-components resin,used to seal the two openings from inside,in order to have a surface for the filler to stick

Details of the base,with PTT,the PTT lock,and the switching contacts
