IC706 MKIIg MICROPHONE INTERFACE

This interface is perfect to operate the ICOM IC706 MKIIg with a pc-headset,in VOX or with PTT.

There is an additional adapter,to use microphones with the standard 8 pin round plug.

On the two RJ-45 sockets,one at the bottom of the front panel and one on the back of the IC706 MKIIg,are available the two AF signals (microphone and speaker),the PTT,the +8 V voltage,the pin for the frequency UP/DOWN pushbuttons.

The assembly is very straightforward: a standard Ethernet cable can be used.

All the interconnections between the wires can be soldered on a small pre-perf board.

With this interface,the pc headset can be used with the VOX,enabling it in the menu of the radio,or with the PTT.

For this purpose,there is an RCA socket,to connect a PTT pedal.

The standard 8 pin round socket can be used to connect microphones equipped with this connector.

The connections of this socket are not shown in the schematic,since they will have to be customized,according to the microphone to be used.
