On December 24th,since the weather was fine I went out to put up the I7SWX Windom.

I've installed it in a position that is different from the one I used for the longwire:

I choose an area that is clear on 3 sides,North,South,West.

A tree was used as support to one of the arms of the antenna

Compared to the longwire, there was a noticeable improvement.Especially on the 20 meters band, where the previous longwire was a bit "deaf",I can now clearly receive signals from Europe.

When I installed the Windom the outside temp was "only" 0 degrees C.Two days later it dropped to -20 ( !! )
