SLINGSHOT FOR WIRE ANTENNAS SETUP

This simple device allows the setup of wire antennas on trees,even of considerable height.

It's a common slingshot,with the addition of a fishing reel.

Hook up a weight,of proper size ( I use 25 or 30 grams fishing weights ),to the fishing line and you'll be able to reach tree branches,located at heights that would be otherwise unreachable.

The following pictures are showing the modification that I had to do to the slingshot.

To mount the fishing reel on the slingshot I've used some common metal plates for furnitures (2 by 90° and one flat) and two hose clamps.

ATTENTION!!!

the rubber bands are very strong,but if they get snapped they can became very dangerous,particularly if they hit the head,even worst if they hit the eyes.

I always use safety goggles,and when throwing I always keep the slingshot at the chest level,never at head level.

Pay attention at the landing area of the weights too,make sure that is clear from people,animals and cars.
